How much of an improvement will I get by replacing factory speakers with Alpine's?

I just bought a 2010 Sentra and the speakers are complete garbage. I don't have much money to spend and I really want to improve my sound quality. I can get a set of Alpine SPR's (6.5 & 6x9's) for $150, or the type R's for $200. Would the SPR speakers sound significitly better just running off the factory CD player; that set-up would only cost me about $250 with installation. If I go with the Type R's, I'll have to get a new deck, amp, car alarm, and pay higher installation cost which would cost about $900-$1,000 for the set-up. I really don't care about getting loud or anything, I just some better sound quality for cheap. Can I get any recommendations for anyone with expertise in car audio. Thanks fellas!
