I have a Hifonics 1205 (2005) and it did me good for about 1 year and 3 months, my friend has it right now powering my old woofer @ 1 ohm at the moment, I ran it at 1 ohm as well, so I would say they hold up good, or atleast mine is =P Good budget amp in my opinion.

I think they put a couple hundred watts under what they're rating, so mine was probably about 900-950, but that's just a guess from what I have seen people say about them.

It fried my friends 1606. You should learn about voltage...it is the most basic, and most useful car audio knowledge you can learn. In fact, it isn't car audio. It's 9th grade physics.

If your dropping below 12 volts somethings wrong.

you have a 1606 in your sig. If it's the black with chrome ends or 25th Annivesary Ed., I hear it does rated power. What color is yours? If you have the black and chrome 1606, then those were updated to be more efficient. If you have the silver 06's, then they do a bit under because 2006 was a split-off year for those amps.

These do rated power. Psturmer (on here) benched his 2607d's and got at least rated power. Ali1 benched the 2608d's and they were underrated. The amps with the chrome/black chrome endcaps have a better efficiency.

thats why i went with the 2000 RMS so i know it will do atleast 1600 true rms i hope.

:furious:It A Good Amp But Is Two Thing That Do Not Like About It Has 2 Channels And It Does Not Have But One Gain .I HAVE THE 1608 BRUTUS AMP.
