Well, I'm open to suggestions, want something with a nice iPod interface. None of that Alpine iPod only media player shit though.

Actually, with Pioneer you don't have to ground the RCAs if you don't blow the pico fuse. It's rather easy not to blow. Don't hot swap your amps (unplug them with the system on) and the fuse should be good. If I unplug anything, I take power away from the HU completely before I do it. The Pioneer models with built in iPod control are pretty good for your iPod. The ones that require an adapter (CD-IB100ii), like mine, kind of **** for the iPod. I haven't messed around with the JVCs or Eclipses so I don't have anything to say about them.

Does anyone know if the Kenwood X693 has good skip protection?

When I do listen to cds with my current head unit certain songs make the cd skip, like Hypnotize by young jeezy, if I'm listening at almost full volume.

AHaha, I know man, that's what I'm saying, I switched from sealed to vented boxes, and it just unleashed a world of hurt upon my cd player, it skips all the time.
I'm not putting out anything near 151dbs, though, although I want to find out what I am putting out.
