How fast can your system kill a battery?

Depends on battery,wire,power being drawn and if car is on or off. Not to mention if it is being played full tilt or at a nice average level.

I am just saying like if you were playing your system how long will it take to drain it? You can post how long it will take with the car on or off. Thanks alot guys

never drained the battery with the car on before. Or car off, ran it around 2 1/2 hours with car off at moderate volumes and car started fine. Stock bat + HC1800.

I played my old system all night and it still started. Granted it wasn't full tilt, but still on the whole night. System consisted of a pa 10 and powerbass asa2000.1 off stock battery, before adding a second. At full tilt after second battery I could play it for at least 1hr or more before it would dip beyond 11volts.With car off.

I haven't ran my car off in a long time with the complete stereo on. I mean, yeah the headunit and the front speakers were on, but the subs were shut off ( toggle switch ). I did have a stereo hooked up in my garage with just a car battery before, and with some cheap head unit, a depthcharge 400WRMS amp, and a 12" Depth charge sub, It only took about 45 minutes, not sure where the battery's voltage sat at when I first started it.
