How far wrong could you go at 109$ for a 5 channel amp? (Audiosavings dailly deal)

I have no use for anything this small, but man, that would be a good one stop shop for a budget build.... or get a pair and run channels bridged and one sub channel per coil on a decent sub?

First amp I ever owned was a Jensen "100X2" (Late 80's). Considering the level of incompetence in the installation and the beatings I gave it the thing was rock solid and never blew up despite some severe abuse. It worked for years until it was finally stolen..... some sumbitch is probably still using it!.... Anyway, haven't ran a Jensen amp since, but had fair luck with their in dash DVD players and heard that a few of their "Phase Linear" branded amps a few years back put out some pretty high voltage.

Herpes is free but that doesn't make it a good thing now does it?

For $105, I'd rather find a bar with $1 you-call-its and do some damage. And yes, I just classified that garbage 5ch in with an STD b/c they're both terrible to live with. Clean amps & cleaner women are what you should be after.

Personal opinion or experience? And I see how you threw in harsh comments at the guy. Damm

The 4 channel end of the amp sounds great. It pushed 70 x 4 watts @ 4 ohms or 90 x 4 @ 2 ohms. These are CEA-2006 ratings, so if you have used amps from Kicker, or Alpine, or Kenwood, you know what type of power you can expect out of this.

might not be so bad

I think it could be a great deal for someone on a budget. I have owned a few Jensen units and likewise, have not had any problems. Also I abused them before knowing better and still own one of the 80-watt chip amps in NOS condition. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Although I abused it and got it hot as a firecracker, never skipped a beat.

Agreed and Brand X doesn't exactly have the greatest rep to begin with in the car audio community for a decent product.
