How does this seem?

What's up guys, I'm paying someone to build me a box and would like to know what you guys think about these dimensions etc.

It's for my 3 12" CVX's

I asked to go buy the manual by the subwoofer specs with what space we have in my trunk. This is what they are

2.25 ft3 (63.7L) + port displacement

3 x 12.5” (7.6x31.8cm) port, 20.5” (52.1cm) long

Power Handling = 700W RMS

This is what he came up with.

42" Wide x 26.75" Deep x 16" High

Subs side by side with 3 ports 13" x 2" each

Tuned to 34hz

Does this sound about right? Anything special I should request?

Yes, he said because if one sub blows out you wont have 2 of them using all the extra space or something ...

Is that bad?

Yes, AQ2200 right now..

ok it's not bad but it's not needed, don't "plan" on blowing a speaker, build a common box with a common port.

also if one woofer blows your amps either going protect or it's going to quit because there will be a open circuit with one sub out.

Ahh ok, but I still don't understand what is the difference or what's the advantages?

I can have him do it all in one but is there any big advantages?

Generally, a box with separate chamber/port for each woofer should sound a little better, but a single chamber/port may be a little louder. These are just generalizations and aren't always true. Your box will be fine the way it is. It may be a little bigger and more heavy, but it will work fine.
