how does adding more ports effect tuning

if youve got 1 3" port 8" long, and you add a second port in, the ports will both need to be longer depending on tuning freq. box size, all that. Yes, it will reduce port velocity as well.

 
cool thanx moe thats what i was asking, because sometimes even though your port is the right size for tuning and the box it may not be right for air velocity, so you can just add more ports at the correct lenths for additional ports and reduce air velocity. was just wonderig about that to me slot ports seem to be much easier for velocity control.
