for the geniuses who couldn't figure out that the hood scoops would actually be MOLDED INTO the hood, here's a pic as it sat last week. It's ready to be painted pretty much. Just a final sanding and then a couple layers of primer.
paint color the car is going to be. This was a test run for this paint, as it has a lot of toners, as well as a new kind of clear coat. This pic has TWO layers paint and ONE clear coat, and this is after it set for a day. For the final we're going three layers paint and FIVE clear coat.
It's a deep metallic black with a red metallic pearl kinda. It's a GORGEOUS effect.
And it is a functional hood. The turbo setup that i picked up (from the VERY limited production Turbo Grand Prix) is angled to where the filter sits parallel with the radiator support, OR RIGHT where the scoops are.
And if you say "your car doesn't require ram-air", well, guess what, NO street cars "require" ram-air.
The rest of the old door frames are completely molded onto the shell now, nice and smooth!
