How Do You Tell If A Sub Is Blown?

Have you ever felt the bass in your chest? Even if you're hearing impaired, you can still feel the effects of bass on your body. In fact to those with serious hearing impairments, bass is the only way to get any sort of enjoyment from music. Take Beethoven, for example. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
nicely said

Yeah, like somebody said before, I could feel the bass good enough to like it where it was set, but now since its blown and the sub couldnt handle it, what should I do, if the Type-X doesnt go as loud/deep and I dont know if I could fit a 15" Type-R, depends on the size dimensions of the box.

And yeah I know its ironic Im making my hearing worse, but I just love the bass and music in general, that Ill play it till Im deaf, or just get some surgery like the cochlear implant.

Yeah, the only way to do that is to get a Type-R 15" bc the 12" only handles 1500 watts whereas my amp will output listed at 1600 watts and the 15" handles 2000 i think. Hmm.

I say you check into a different sub, for a bit more money. 1400 RMS @ 1 ohm is a decent amount of power.

Check into Fi, DD, RE. Any of those companies will have something for your needs.

I really don't think you will be happy with the Type-X.

Im not going to go with a Type-X since people here said its not as loud as a Type-R. If someone tempts/explains to me how it'd be a good thing to go with Fi, DD, or RE, I'd be interested in getting one. Im just very unfamiliar with them (I hear them all the time posted in these forums though) but I dont know anything about them specwise or what types from them to get.

Would any of them be alot better than a Type-R 12" in a 2.5 cu.ft. 32 hz ported box?

Anybody wanna help me with some ideas/suggestions on that?

Thanks guys.

PS: I wanna wire my amp down to 1ohm so I want a sub that handles more than 1500 watts or something, that way, I dont have to mess with my gain much.
