How do you make ports like these?

Look inside the port (last pic), right side.Inside after the flare. Not anywhere near as one of the others you posted pics of though.
Thats actually a "lump" on the port itself, the one you posted pics of, and the last one in my post was just a test port for the paint, was a TCAB reject //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

The chrome I didn't spend any time on, and thats of course extremely unforgiving, I threw it over the coat on the pic above it just to get a quick pic and see what it looked like.

The only time there has been a run is when I first started with the blue, I put way too much on because it goes on very clear, takes a few coats to get it to build up. Again, was on a test port, and I'm not sure if there is even a pic of it.

if you sell 6"ers for 30+ shipping why was i quoted $60
i would have ran 6"ers in my enclosure had you not quoted me that much.
depends on when you got a quote?

The process was refined, supplier found, and i got things to a point where I can sell for $30 + shipping, which was the goal from the start, but wasn't the price a few months ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

60 sounds high though?

Either way, buy some now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

maybe you should be banned //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
how are my ports not flared?

why are you such a wanker?

I'm sure you cant answer either of those questions
I would not consider your ports "flared", one end is gone over with a roundover....thats it.

What about the other end?

oh, sorry for only showing one end finished //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
the other end can either by flared using the heating method, or have a piece of MDF attached, which can also form a brace in the box...
Ummm, how are you going to brace a box with another piece of MDF without really f*cking up the airflow?

Mind drawing out an example of that? Or a completely finished port with both ends flared? Why not just flare the other end with the heating method? It would be alot easier than securely mounting a piece of MDF to the PVC, then rounding that over. 10 minutes with a heatgun and the right form=flared ends.

make sense?

the strip in the middle being MDF that goes from top, to bottom of the box...
Hmm, interesting.

I've never needed a box that needed such monster pieces of bracing though. Imagine having to do that for a 8" PVC port. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Would be better off just heating the PVC end and using some all-thread. Alot less turbulence.

it was maybe 2 months ago. I dunno, i deleted the PM.

I have a heat gun and i may spring for a 20' hunk of PVC or see if i can find some spare and try it myself. If it turns out ugly but functional i will be using it for my SPL setup. If it turns out nice i may do some modifications to my box. If it isnt functional ill probably be hitting you up for 2 6"ers or a singel 8"er for my SPL install. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
