the two ends don't appear the same size, so you probably mount the larger end on the wall of the box.

well yea, obviously. one end is smaller so it can fit through the hole.

But how would you mount the larger end to the front baffle of the box???

1 6" takes up less space on a box than 2 4" ones do. plus you get more port area out of it.

Depends on your design, but if you can fit it, one 6 is preferred over 2 4's.

anything over a 4" Flared port cost too muc money IMO. So unless you are chasing tenths on the mic, multiple 4"ers or slot ports FTW.

A 6 from me is made with PVC instead of ABS, ABS is more brittle and is easier to crack. I can also make a custom 1 piece port, instead of the 3 piece, so its seamless. I also use readily available PVC, so if you want to change the length, you dont have to fight with it to get the pipe in there, or pay too much to buy the ABS pipe.
