How do YOU have your box mounted to your car?

I have 3/8" bolts and 1.5" washers through my floor. With my security screws mounting the sub, my stuff isn't going anywhere.

I used gate hinges. Allows me to access the spare tire under the cargo floor... Bolted through the floor.

I used to have a 15" RE XXX in a huge ported box in the back of my crx. I never thought it would go anywhere until one day when i had to slow from highway speeds to zero instantly. The next thing i know the box hits the back of my seat. There wasn't even a collision when that happened. After that i took the sub out and mounted the box through the floor, then dropped the sub back in. On my last install i got some heavy gauge L shaped brackets and mounted those through the floor.

I took in to consideration of how I wanted to mount my enclosure down, when I was building everything..

there is a hidden bolt on each side ( where the red circle is)

the enclosure is very secure and comes out really easy.

gotta keep it secure for all that drifting. Thats a nice spot though. Hidden from jackers too.

i have the jump seats removed and two pieces of mdf bolted down in their place... then i just screw the box onto the mdf from the inside and put 2x4s down to support the front of the box...

When I put my single BL 10" in, I had to invert it due to the cutout being to small for the subs basket, so when I put the entire box and sub in, the sub was so heavy, it would flip the box over.

So, I placed some MDF under the box, and screwed the box down to that, My other sub (TC 300 15") is so heavy, once its in the box and in the car, it dont move anywhere.

I am sure though, in a crash it would become a deadly projectile //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

AZ, I know you dont like me much, but... your install is **** nice! did you do it yourself or had it done?

i used 2 5/8th bolts to secure the box to the body of my truck. fat metal and rubber washers with red thread locker to keep it from leaking or coming loose. even still, in the event i flipped my truck or something crazy like that, i wonder if the trupan and the somewhat thin metal on the floor of the cargo area will hold such a heavy box under hard impact.
