How do YOU have your box mounted to your car?

For my last box I had L brackets just screwed onto the felt floor, which eventually ripped right out after making so many turns.

Here's what I've gathered up after some searchs

A) Giant piece of velcro

B) Duct tape... and more duct tape

C) L brackets (didn't work my first time :\)

D) Stick another piece of wood under the trunk liner, and put a big screw through the bottom of the box, through the liner, and into the bottom wood

E) Let it be free and bang into whatever

F) Other suggestions?

I think i'm gonna go with D, it'd make it 10x harder if someone were to try to take my ****.

Use some metal brackets and screw to the floor...make sure you watch where your drilling before you drill a hole through your gas tank or other stuff . I usually cut a piece of mdf screw that to the floor then secure the box to the mdf .

some people suggest plumber's straps...

others will say the only way to do it is building a false floor...

the false floor is probably the only solution that will keep the box stationary in the event of a crash... (edit: UNLESS your method directly attaches the box to the body of the car).

the other stuff is kind of a toss up unless you're using multiple methods (plumber's straps + L brackets + etc...)

box with sub = around 160 lbs or so... it's going no where.

... ok .umm... just drill though the bottom of the car and box in the same place.. drop a bolt through it... and put a nut on the other side

or better put the nut on the inside of the box so you cant tell form under the car

i have an extended cab truck and i just used the mounting hardware for the jumpseats and it works awesome

I had to remove the carpet on my box, which I had secured with 3M adhesive. The box is still sticky and sticks to the carpet. Plus it is around 70lbs, so its going nowhere.
