Got a Dodge Neon about 4 months ago with front and back speakers blown, just the dash speakers working so I decided I'd put all new speakers in, then I decided hell I might as well amp them. Then I decided I really missed having a sub so I figured might as well. Heres what I ended up with:
Alpine Type-R 1042d -10" DVC 4 ohm, 500W RMS ($65)
Alpine Type-S SPS600- 6.5" front door speakers 80W RMS ($20)
Hifonics ZX7500- 2 channel amp, 250x2 @4, 500x2 @2, 1000x1 @ 4RMS ($50)
Jenson XA2125 +distro block- 2 channel amp, 175x2 @2 RMS ($40)
4awg Memphis Audio wiring kit ($20)
50ft of 16awg speaker wire ($15)
Still need to build a box for the sub and get some 6x9s for the back. The speakers will be wired down to 2 ohms per pair and front and backs will be run on their own channel. Sub will be wired down to 2 ohms and ran off 1 channel of the Hifonics so I'll have room to upgrade to 2 subs later if I feel the need. So for $200 I think I ended up with a pretty **** good system
But how do you guys think I did? Do you think I could've done any better with the money I spent?
