how do you decide what size port

Make the side parts into triangular prisms, then use the rest as an average box.

k here is the box. phew took a while but got it. for the port pieces u just cut each piece at the same angle as the front face.

if thats what he means then NO! u make the top and bottom cuts of the port parallel with the angle of the back panel! ANGLE OF THE BACK PANEL!
