How Do You Crimp Your 1/0 and 4 awg wires?

If your looking to crimp something more than a few times, I would buy a hammer crimper (usually around $20) or a large crimp ring/ battery lug crimper (between $150-$250 for the handle/ lever type).

Hammer, hands down. Hammer and a large flat-head screw driver if need. Much better than a vice. Used to use a vice, but have since decided it is for dummies.

I use a large pair of vice grips. I squeeze then tighten about 5-6 times.

I will admit you have to be relatively strong to do it this way.

Lol, i used a hammer and dadaadayum. That shit has powa.

Electric tape the wire to the connector to have a some what grip. Then BOOM! one hammer and that shit is flat already. Took a couple of smacks for it to be tight and flat. Thanks for the suggestion fellas.

We have a hammer crimper at work...it works nice...but a hammer by itself on the concrete is just as good.
