Im installing a 200 amp alt, and im trying to change to pulley to a smaller one.. But the stock pulley does not seem like it wants to come off. Im using a belt wrench and a breaker bar but the nut will not budge. So i was wondering if there is a technique, or a special tool to do this.

Just curious.. where did you find a smaller pully at? i have been trying to find one for my ho alt on my jeep

Most of them are on there good. If you have access to a good impact gun, use it while holding the pulley and it should come right off. If not check with your local auto parts stores, most of them, if they have the tools, will do it for no charge or a small fee.
