How do you bi-amp components?

biamplification means using multiple (2) amplifiers for component speakers. in this case, 1 amp for the tweetes, one for the midwoofers.

from here, the crossover is still required. this are usually preamplifer: active, passive-preamp(fmods), or DSP based(HU). fmods probably shouldn't be used due to some technical issues. HU filters have the advantage of high configurablity and good matching.

sometimes a postamplifier fillter (passive crossover) for each filter. this is not an ideal situation either, there shouldn't be a need for a second amplifier.

so in short, you need:

4 amplfier channels (2 2channel amps, or 1 4 channel amp)

1 good HU OR an active crossover with filter in the 2-4khz range.

either way, you need fitlers in the 2khz to 4khz range.
