How do you all feel about metal and ported boxes?

We are the forum metalheads.

There are a few of us here. Not nearly as many as there used to be, but some of us are still around.

It all has to be adjusted for me. I don't always run subs full tilt so when i listen to metal, especially some old school i just turn up the bass a bit. I used to have that same sub and it didn't have a whole lot of kick sealed. I think i would've been happier having it ported but got rid of it...
