From the understanding I get , you are trying to go to a larger speaker size, Take yourself tyo a good audio shop, talk with a salesman & tell him \ her what you would like to do in upgrading your system. Depending on the chosen speaker size & magnet size, a custom mounting & fitting might be in order. Then it is quite possilbe that you can improve your sound system with just buying a higher grade pair of speakers [ same size ] or better head unit. Good luck.
