How do i make this fit??

Just got this amp its replacing my 250 watt kenwood. I have 4 gauge wireng and i cant seem to get the wires to fit into the plug ins on the amp here are pics. Should i just cut the little connectors off and plug in the bare wire into it? I still think the hole would be to small but idk.View attachment 26529521View attachment 26529520
Yeah cut those off. You don't want anything between your wire and the connection. It may actually fit that way too. Good luck.

cut it of. willo get less resistance

ok one more question while im here lol. There are 2 channels on this amp there are two - terminals side by side and 2 + side by side. Look at pics for a better idea of what im saying. Do i plug the speaker wire into the + and - side by side or on oppisite ends?Redirect Notice

It has pair of -&+ so it'll be easier to connect more than one sub to amp. You can wire subs to just a single positive and negative combo if you wanted.

ok guys i have a new prob. Dont laugh when you here this one lol. Im selling my old amp that used the spade connectors tomoro and i kinda have to do a demo for the guy thats buying it. Sooo i already riped the spade conectors off and plugged it into the new amp. Now the bare wire to thick and wide to fit in the old amp.... Can i trim the wire down to make it smaller? like cut some off? How would i reatach the connectors... the amp i sellin is the kenwood kac 7205
