How do I keep a factory HU

I'm gonna do an install for my buddy in an 08 charger,He want to keep the factory mygig system and add a sub and amp. What do i need to accomplish this,I have always used aftermarket hu's with rca's.

If he is just adding a sub and amp, use a LoC (Line output converter I believe)... Not the best way to do it but it works.

or if your amp can accept Hi level inputs just use the supplied wiring and tap into the speaker wires.

You can use the line output converter which attaches to your speaker leads to create the signal for the rca's, which works and is the cheaper way. Or you can use a JL Clean Sweep, or Rockford Fosgate 360. But are pricey. If you use the LOC you can just connect it to the rear speakers in the trunk and be done.

Thanks guys A Loc will work fine it sure isn't gonna be a SQ build,I'm putting the substage from my sig in it. Gotta go bigger for me
