How do car audio shops feel......?

if you bring in equipment not bought from them obviously to have them install. I have been thinking about this and how I would feel. I own two businesses and my take is this

1) I would hoped my product was purchased instead of outside equipment being brought in.

2) I can' blame the customer if they have found a better product, especially if they found it cheaper and

3) I'm just glad to have the installation business in the economic down turn.

What are your opinions or conversations with shops you have encountered?

I did alter installation charges for items not purchased at my store though.

I'd expect install prices to be higher if the equipment wasn't bought there, as I assume there'd be some sort of price break if I had bought and had everything installed at the shop.

i dont have audio installed for me. its like building drag car, if you didnt do it yourself its not yours.

Well local shops here are $40 per hour with their equipment. I wonder how much it would be per hour installing outside equipment.
