I started with a Pioneer DEH-15 or something like that, with a no name amp and two 12" MTX Thunder 2000 10's. I later graduated to a Sony Source CD player, (anyone remember them?), and a pair of Cadence 10's and a 300 watt Cadence 2 channel, back when 300 watts was respectable. To me a class-D amp is a new thing.

I got into it because I wanted to be cool and stereos never sounded good enough to me.

Uh, my friends got me hooked on subs. And i've been trying to get a decent setup since.

My first setup was a blaupunkt amp with two kicker comp 12s in my own decently made sealed box. But that was sold since my car died.

well mine is at $605 so far. actually i went to a car audio place today and i think i blew one of their arc audio subs. they had a pair of 12s in a sealed box and i had the 1000/1 selected as the amp and now they make these weird buzzing noises, and they wanted 900 for a w7.
