i personally think the most overrated JL sub there is...is the W0. low end just wasn't there. the only JL subs that impressed me was the W3v2, W6(v2), W7

To be quite honest with u...The only **** JL sub that has ever impressed me was the w6v2s and the w7..The subs are rather decent, have great SQ and maintain a good level of SPL at that...The only thing of it is, they are over priced like a *****..but Like i mentioned in an earlier post, They are priced so high because of all the Technology that has been placed into them...not to mention is JL AUDIO //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif .....The w0's are a low-level sub, not really having great SQ or great SPl..There just one of those "Self-pleasing" subs...lol....The w3 with all its design problems and what-not..Its a decent SQ sub which can get rather loud..depending on what u like...The only thing I suggest for the w0's and w3's is Keep them near RMS at all times..yes they can handle a lot more power, but if u havent put a well-thought out box into the mix...Your not gonna be liking them all that much..And yes the w3s do pretty good in Sealed enclosures, but as in-efficient as they are, I would recommend putting them ina ported box...And dont go tuning the ported box for **** SQ cause u really take a lot of the subs efficeny AWAY from it..Personally if someone were to offer me 10 12" Jlw3s for $5...I'd go tell the...are u crazy..Wendys is havig the VALUE MEAL TODAY...LOL..But I'm not trying to sit here and critize JL..They are a decent manufactor and have there qualities, but then again just LIKE every other company of Car audio..Has there downfalls as well...I think JL's downfall is the price of there product line..But before I go typing PAGES AND PAGES of stuff, I'm gonna leave it at this!! I've basically repeated this like twice..lol..Gonna LEAVE IT BE NOW!!

My friend has a 95' civic hatch, and we put two 12W0's in a sealed box and he hit 138. Sounded like shit doing it though.

THoes of you that have been playing JL"s and *****ing about their low freq...have obviously never had them in a larger sealed box....

Mine peak at 35hz...and sounds awesome doing it.

Ported...they sound horiable

and the JL spl boxes **** and sound one noted...

I've put mine against a bunch of pioneers...pioneer subs can eat my ***...they dont get deep...

Of course a JL will outperform Pioneer's...THEY COST ABOUT 5 TIMES THAT ANY PIONEERS DO!!!! And yes JL's do hit low frequencies very good, especially the w6v2 and w7...but they cost an arm and a leg...like I said...why get a 12w7 for $450 when I can save $100 and get a Brahma, or an XXX, and have more SPL, and almost as good SQ as the w7? I just dont like the purely negitive direction people are taking on tis board...

Its true that JL's prices are not good...but performance wise they are realitily good subs..

THere is no reason to insult someone who knows very little about a bussiness...Had I know JL's were over priced i'd be rolling with 4 15 K's by now...(and hopefully will before the summer)

but the bottom line is stop the flame wars...its getting rediculus and i think its giving car audio a bad name
