I have been without bass for almost a month and today at a yard sell I got a 12" mtx blue thunder for $3.50 I put it in a 1cf box with my 1000 wate amp with gans all the way down and it dont sound that bad my ? is will a Rli-8 in a ported box with 500 wates sound beter and have more bass be fore I hade 2 L7 10's but now I dont wont a lot of bass It is kind of weard that going from the kicker L7 to the blue thunder I like the mtx more it is not to mutch bass just rihte amount so will a Rli-8 fit the bill

you're comparing an 8 to a 12"..

the 8 should give some decent output and great sq if that's what you want.

the mtx is a pos it has a hole in the ruber and the dost cap is all ditend in and it is going to blow but for now it has the amount of bass I am loking for but I thought the Rli-8 wood be beter it is onely an 8 but it has more x-max and is a beter bilt sub all around and it will be ported and my pos $3.50 sub will do beter then this I dont think so http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=148806
