How cold is too cold?

It got down to 9* F here the other night and it has averaged >30* F for the last few days. I turned off my subs when the temps dropped, until today when it reached above freezing, but the temps are going to go back down. I am worried my system might be damaged if operated in the extreme cold.

When is it too cold to operate a system?

generally, when it drops below freezing, you'll want to allow your vehicle to warm up a lil before running your system... your subs/amp will create their own heat, so they will take care of it from there

don't worry about it man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

granted i usually don't push my system right away when its cold (or ever), i give everything a few minutes at lower volumes first.

It was 70* down here in bayou country //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

nah, i love the cold. Once it gets above about 65 i pretty much have constant swamp-ass and i wish it was winter again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

WEAK

OP I'll play my stuff on half volume so the sub is at least moving a little bit, and then after a few minutes and the car is a bit warm I can turn it up to full tilt without issues

one good thing about cold weather, is the extra voltage!!!! lately its been above 14.7volts.. heres from a little bit ago tis very nice. when its warm/hot out im only running like 13.8-14v

14.7? What a ****. I don't see anything above 14.1 even if it's below zero //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
