how can i stop my rear view mirror from vibrating/rattling ???

you guys are not helping much..please professionals answer only

we are all professionals. if you dont like your rearview mirror shaking then dont play your stereo loud. you act like all of us havent been there and done this already.

Lmao try as u might you wont completly stop it u can fix it in place with a glue or epoxy and readhere the backing with windsheild adhesive but it will eventually do this again as mentioned above. U could loctite the set screw to stop it from backing out if u want to go through all that for it to just fall off the glass later on.

put duct tape all around it. Then get some expanding foam and stick the nozzle inside the duct tape and let 'er fly. Wait 30 minutes... done.

whenever bass hits it stars to come down on every beat it hits but whats more annoying is it makes this ugly sound too wheneever bass hits..i hear that sound from somewhere near the front of the dashboard..i dont know if its something to do with my dashboard or windshield (could it be loose or something ? ) BUT when i hold the mirror it goes away and everythign sounds normal..is there any fix to that ?? if you have the set scrwew like most, then pull it out and remove the mirror. put a single layer of clear packing tape on the surface of the mount, and even wrap the ears with a layer if there is side-side movement. a little bit of blue loctite on the set screw, and re-install. it should stop the rattling, but if it is worn too loose, then there is little you can do aside from a new mirrir, or one of the mentioned tricks to tighten the joint. maybe even a small shot of brake cleaner to mar the plasic in the joint, but all this is at your own risk. in the yota, i just swaped it out with a roof-mount gm mirror

i still have mine even though it doesnt help. if you want to fix the sound get a different mirror to replace it.

OP this is why car audio fails. Newbs come asking for help we try to help them. They do not like the answer and dont listen. Take the mirror off or listen to one of there ways to fix it. No matter what you do it will be a temp. set up any ways.

..... are you serious? Read this aloud to yourself and not laugh... How do you look behind you when you're walking? Turn your **** head around. You have side-view mirrors, and you have a functional neck. At least I'm presuming you do, cus you were able to look up to take that sweet myspace pic.
