so how can I hook my headunit up to my TV and how can I use it to power some old crappy ca speakers?

Do you think a hu's internal amp/crappy pair of cheap coaxials would be better than a tv's internal amp/speakers?

I'm guessing I need an ac to dc converter, can I use an old computer power supply or would that not work? I have a bunch of crap that i'd like to put to use. I only have one car so I figure the only thing I can do with it all is improve my TV's speakers // computer's speakers.

You can use anything from DC bench power supply, the 12v in PC power supplies or a 12v battery charger(but sometimes the voltage straight from a charger may be too high). Usually anything that can supply 10 amps at 12v will be enough to power a headunit while driving four speakers.

Oh and the headunit has to have an aux input so you can plug stuff into it, otherwise you'll have to go REAL ghetto and buy one of those FM transmitters.

lol, $200.

Yes, I am that cheap.

I was hoping to spend closer to the range of $0-$10.

left over pieces of mdf in the garage, old coaxials, old headunit.

anyone have a sony xplode amp they're willing to give away for the price of shipping?
