How can I find out how many ohms my sub is wired at?

I took it to a shop to install, but Im not sure how many ohms its wired at. The subs are 4 ohms, but hopefully he wired it at 1...Any way I can find out myself?

You can't just wire any sub to any load, are two 4ohm subs? or two dual 4ohm subs?

Take a digital multimeter and set it to DC resistance and put it at the terminals of the amp. It should read slightly lower than what they are wired to. If it's 1 ohm, it may read something like .82 or .70 or maybe .6. If it's close to 4 ohms (assuming you have two dual 4 ohm subs) it will read somewhere around 3.6 or 3.8 or something like that.
