in an SUV with my newly built box i only have about 4" between port/sub and tailgate when shut?...will this creat any problems?

whew thank god...i was worried...box by PESTeele is in my jeep and dam its huge....i gotta move my amp though...where he mounted the banana plugs its flush up agaisnt my amp...so i think im gonna move my amp over to the other side of the back of the seat...

You'll be fine man, that is plenty of room. In my Jeep, I have less than 2 and half inches of clearence... No problems at all.
