how bad is having your subs in too big a box?

Well you're showing some pretty ridiculously high Qtc's there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif and its dependant on more than what we're discussing here (such as xover points versus actual enclosure alignment) but yeah, you're right pretty much. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Always gotta watch my p's and q's around here. lol

Not really. Most "street beaters" prefer a Q of ~1.2....and that's what salesmen consider "sellable" because it sounds "warm" to the "average listener" (like my "overuse" of the "quotation marks"?).

1.2 is high. 1.5 is very high. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

edit: doing a quick calc in WinISD, a Qtc of 1.5 for one of my xxx 15's would be a .4 cu ft box. Quite a ways out of the normal operating range imo. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif But like I said, I agree with your over all point.
