How are the Audiobahn AW102T's. Good or Bad? Any info would be helpful?

I'm new at this car audio stuff. I've never even heard of Adire Audio their Shiva subwoofer.

Are they better than all the typical brands that i have heard of JL, Kicker, Memphis, etc.

"Better" is subjective - listen with your ears, not with your eyes. Our opinions are just that, our opinions - usually (should be) based on past experience.

If you can listen to those brands you listed ... give them a shot. Listen to as many subwoofers in your price range as possible. Get back to us with what you like and what you don't like, and with some prices.

I've been impressed with the lower end Memphis stuff - the bang for the buck factor has suprised me, likewise for Planet Audio.

Ick, those Audiobahn's sound like semi-loud crap. If you got those I'm sure you'd want to end up upgrading in a few weeks, so you should save your cash for something you'll wanna keep around...and most likely something with some sound quality.

Is Ford better than Chevy? Is Chevy better than Toyota? We all have our opinions, but there is no 'right' answer. Much like picking out a car, look for the exact model that fits your needs/budget, not just brand as you are doing here. You dont just decide to buy a Dodge, then decide if you want a pick up truck or sports car do you? Like shopping for a car, the right sub will fit your needs, style and budget. Stick around a while and learn about automotive subwoofer systems, you'll figure out which sub is right for you. Nobody else can make a better decision on what you want than yourself.

Forexample, JL makes some very nice subs I would be proud to own, and they also make some subs I wouldn't use if they were free. Audiobahn, same thing... well, bad example with abahn.

if you are lookin for good sq dont go with audiobahn. they get moderately loud but have just as bad of SQ as L7's... unless you are buying them from ebay dont buy them either... way too overpriced.

give me a break man, L7's have better sq than most abahn speakers.(i wont say all havent heard some) i think you've heard some bad L7 installs. my L7s get **** loud and have pretty good sq for their SPL.

i had some flame audiobahn 1000 watt pieces of crap from

circuit city... they had one note... fart... it was horrible...

i think i "owned" them for about an hour...

just because youve heard of a brand does not make

it good... and just because you havent heard of a brand

doesnt make them bad...

look to the more unknown brands the people on these

boards highly recommend...
