how are crossovers usually secured to the door

Are there holes drilled through the door and they are secured with screws? (first time I'm installing cross-overs into the doors)

i always secure mine under the dash so they are inside the car. Some people put them inside the doors=bad idea...but if you screw them to the door under your door panel, they should be fine...self tapping screws FTW

yea .. a guy that installed my speakers put them inside the door .. very bad idea on his part AS AN INSTALLER ... now my crossovers are rusting .. and i cant really do anything bout it ..
