INSTALLATION OF wiring and connecting batteries in series

I have a olds cutty '95. I need to in stall wiring and connect the 2 batteries. The problem is that I've never hooked up more than 2 subs and an amp. With the second battery, 3 amps and two caps and 6x9's and mid's-hi's I can't figure it out but would like to. If someone could help me install the wiring properly it would be greatly appreciated! So, for the people who read the question b4 that I asked, I would like to know how to install the WIRES and BATTERIES into my OLDS CUTTY '95 from the beginning. I don't have zero guage wire! I HAVE (2) 2 guage kits for (2) 1000 rms amps, and I have (1) 4 guage kit for my 4x150rms amp. I need to know where to run them and where to ground so I don't mess things up!!!! 1st step, buy some 0/1ga

this is how my second battery is wired in my trunk. yours will be similar. PS dont use the caps

yeah you dont need any caps..

place the batts in the trunk anywhere..

run a cable from your battery in the front (engine bay)

to the trunk..just connect the cable postive to postive..

the ground ..you could just ground it to the body anywhere..

make sure you clean the body first before you ground it...no paint..

make sure you put a fuse at least 5-10 inches away from the positive

terminal in the front ...then put another one in the back batt...same thing..

id put al least 150amps fuse..

fuses...

then from there, hook your amps..you probably gonna need a fuse block..(or a plain block)

that splits in 2 or depends on how many amps you have...

you should be fine connecting the batteries together with 2 gauge.

yea if your 2nd battery is in the trunk and the amps will be hooked directly to that battery assuming your running 2 1000 watt amps, 2 gauge is plenty fine.

I don't believe that anyone has mentioned it yet but wiring two 12 volt batteries in series would yield 24 volts. I believe that perhaps you're meaning parallel? If that's the case the above drawing is correct.

BTW, in that drawing fuse holders 1 and 2 are 300a and 3 and 4 are 150a
