Horn work log (big pics)

...I think high vas works alot better...
low vas, such as the DD9510's I have, and you cant even design a horn with a theoretical flat frequency response...
Well not that stiff...

I have three panels together now and I'm going to lay out where everything else is going in pencil. I figured it would be better to get measurements with the sides glued on first. I'm about to put in the corner pieces as they are ready to just drop in. One panel got warped sitting in my room so I had to straighten it out with 3 screws... that sucked. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The other two panels went on OK but it is a bіtch with only two hands and no bench or workspace; just using the floor in my room sucks ***.

what woofer do you have, what vehicle? or is it going in the house? and max enclosure dimensions?
I would love to try one for my vehicle but I'm very limited on space (maybe 12inx12in x 30in). It would most likely be for my home. I don't have a woofer at the moment picked out but I do have some extra subs laying around (ED 11Ov, ED EU-700's, ED 9k's, 8in Assassins, 10in Aresenal and an 8w7).

Here are some updated pictures of the build:

All holes are pre-drilled and counter-sunk and then covered with wood filler. I haven't sanded any of the spots yet as they're still drying. I couldn't find a ghetto rag to wipe the excess glue off with and paper towels weren't really working so I just used my fingers. A little ghetto but whatever. All the pieces have been going together alright but the top and bottom pieces are about 2mm too short.

looking good...
now, get back to work making it and get off here!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
My knees can only take so much of this dаmn carpet.

Well, I'm finished with all the glueing and all that random. Everything is drying right now and I should be able to try it out tomorrow. I have a working headunit, 100wrms amp, and computer power supply for testing it in my room. I will test it in my car if it will fit but I think the height may be a little too much. All screw holes have been filled and sanded and most of them are dаmn near flush. I'm probably going piano gloss black so they need to be pretty smooth. I'm not a perfectionist for finishing though since my bike scratches and tears everything in my car.

My room looks like a fuсking sand storm came through; everything is coated in dust. I used a Makita sander with a little dust catcher but it's not 100% of course.

Of course, I ran out of weather stripping and I still need to cover one side of it but I have some more in Ocala.

I don't have anywhere else to do it. I'm not going to take it outside of my apartment and have people give me funny looks. If I would have done that, I would have had to sand with my hand... fuсk that. Don't forget that I had to sand each piece where I had an angled edge. There is no way to get it done by hand without it being jacked.

You're seeing the weather stripping extending beyond the end of the wood. I have the stripping being glued down and I am waiting for the glue to dry before trimming them all flush.

No, it's a Lexmark printer and yes, it does ****. I got it about 3 years ago and it's still working so I can't really complain.

yeah, i guess i can see that it's just weather stripping now.

the dell freebie is just a re-branded lexmark.

my roommate bought one last year (lexmark) and it's the exact same as mine (dell).

mine's two years old and is still working, but it's starting to print pretty poorly.
