hooking up to factory wiring

Would splicing into my factory wiring, so I don't have to run my component speaker wire through my door, cause any performace issues with my speakers?

aside from the gauge of stock speaker wiring usually being like 22-24.. no thats no problem. However, it is a smarter idea to go with a little bigger gauge than that for powered comps.

you should install better wire with the comp. you have but won't change anything if u just cut the speaker wires.Make sure you cut the wire and join on the speaker side.
