hooking up 2 amps to one sub

ok i think i know what my next setup will be.. if i can do it. im going to get a single 12" L5 and run it with 2 kicker kx400.1 amps. how would i do this? it confuses the hell out of me. + from one amp to + on the sub, - from second amp to neg on the sub, then just paralell the sub? but what about the remaining + and - on the amps?

i figure this would be a cheap upgrade, but a decent sounding one. instead of getting a kx600.1 or 1200.1 for a single 12, the kx400.1 would be cheaper with the sub as long as i could run 2 amps on the sub itself since it handles 1200 max. so i would be pushing around 900 watts to the sub depending on the max output of the amp. the kx400.1 i have now is rated for 420w on my kicker birth sheet

Um what Im picking up is that ur 400.1 has 4 terminals for speaker wire ( 2 posi and 2 neg ) and you're thinking you have to run all 4 for the amp to work?

You only need 1 posi and 1 neg from the amp the other 2 are just for different wiring options

I think I follow correctly?
