Honestly, the new challenger = fail

Obviously im talking about computers in cars dumbass, do you think im posting with my homemade rock chisel and a piece of bark. I dont give a dam if i have 1969 mustang ripping my pockets dry or a 2009 mustang getting me better gas mialiage. Itll be cheaper to fix the 69 and its better quality anyway. If you dont like my opinions then oh well.

Do you even have a car youngin'?

i wanna know how many didnt know it was the same EXACT srt-8 motor? considering everyone knows srt-8 is for the 300C, challenger, magnum, and charger.

its not that hard to figure out, its just a different body style, thats what they are getting at.

I don't think it would be that much cheaper and there is more potential in newer designs. We accept your shitty opinion. It seems as though you have problems with accepting our opinion of your shitty opinion.

BTW, efficiency has more benefit than MPG //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Hey ya know you're dead on in a lot of ways, this was a car I owned for four years from 1998-2002:

hearse06.jpg

Under the hood was the most powerful engine the big three built in '65, with IIRC 480lbs of torque in 429 cubes. Bone stock, it was crazy simple, I think a child could tune it if he wanted to. Now the 6mpg was partially a factor of the size and weight, but the hearses coming out of detroit now (at $120k) get 2-3x that, due to precise metering and engine management. Also if some putz didn't want to tune his car back then, it would dump gobs of pollutants in the air.

So while in theory it would be nice to think we could all drive dinosaur cars forever, the planet was screaming "help" by the late sixties in america regarding air quality, and we know the deal with gasoline.

(one way they thought of the future, that hearse came from miller meteor stock with twin alternators!)

1989 F-150, but i want extended cab or SUV so i can do a better system.
there is tons ofcrappy computer equipmnet in that truck, infact it is a waaay bigger piece of crap than a new f-150 with its fancy electronics. look pre-82 if your really concerned with lack of electronics;)

This is why ill drive almost anything Pre 90's and almost nothing past that with the exception of a 92 mustang and some other misc things, i hate all this computer ****, Its more to go wrong. Im only 16 but with the way my family is and the way i grew up i have a huge appreciation the old muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. I hate people comparing new cars to old cars because even if the new challenger was exactly the smae as the old one appearence wise it would still be computer **** under the hood.

When I worked in a parts store only two types of people thought like this

1. People who couldnt afford a new car

2. People that didnt know/were scared to work on new cars

Airbags, lights that auto turn on and other safety equipment are also computerized....so I guess they are useless

Dont forget about the SRT8 Jeep as well lol!

I've always wanted a Charger R/T or SRT8 SuperBee. Especially right now, the local dealer is selling a 2008 Charger SRT8 SuperBee Supercharged with 525HP for 19k and it only has 237 miles on it. I'm tempted to get it but I am afraid Chrysler will die and there will be no way to fix the car in the future if it has problems.

I don't beleive that

You are current with Chryslers predicament right? I don't doubt it for a second. Thats what the ***** said to me. It's of course not OTD.
