Honda Accord engine noise

honda accord '96. Everytime I accelerate the engine makes a rattling noise which sounds like someone putting a fork in a fan.

Ive been reading around and people say that its the heat sheild that is un-adhering. I just wanted to come here and confirm that.

More info please. Are you sitting still and rev your motor then you hear noise. Or is this noise heard when you are moving turning corners and rev motor.

The fork in a fan, Sounds like you crank pulley has taken a crap. Its still there enough to crank over and do what is needs to do but is falling apart when you rev up your motor you can hear it rattle. But I will wait and see what you write back.

no its when im driving. It only happens when the engine is at high RPM and about to shift gears. A better description is a rattling noise,
