Home Theater Wire Management

I use a "stick on" type of wire sleeve. It works pretty good.

The rest of the wire is ran between the carpet and the trim so you cant even see it.

For my TV, We took a board and I had my buddy use his router and cut 2 channels in it for the wires to hide into.

You can actualy see some of the thick speaker wire at the bottom of the wall. It is hardly noticeable so...

Finally some real suggestions. Whered you get the stick-on type wire sleeve? I like it, its white and matches the wall where it's hardly noticeable. What's it called/brand. I absolutely LOVE your setup. Clean, Simple. I am going to pick up those sleeve over the weekend then hopefully they have it at the local store. What else do u have to suggest?

You can find the kit at Home Depot or Lowes. It will be in the electrical department right across from the bulk wire. It looks like this:

It has doublesided tape that is pretty strong and holds well. When you install it, dont expose the entire surface of the double stick tape. Only expose about 3-1 inch sections and this will allow you to remove the wire channel and reinstall it if needed. It comes in a few basic colors and I was fortune enough that it matches the paint on the walls.

you got the lil version of my speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

for my rear channels for my computer speakers, they are on the back wall, i just used white gaffers tape.

My runs to the sides and rear are in black wire loom. For the projector I ran the wires through the wall which sucked as I didn't have access via the attic.

If you have an attic or basement you can run your rears that way then go up/down through the wall. Of course exterior walls usually have insulation which makes it more interesting...

Luckily the TV stand hides the "mess" of wires back there. It's all cable tied, but still a friggin mess: 6.1 surround, receiver, projector, dvd player, component splitter, tv, ps2....ugh. And I know many guys have a lot more equipment.

well for my speakers, I built a room around the wiring....

and for my stereo wiring, i plan to use a channel along one side, run the wires, wired tied together, horizontal to the channel, then wire tied to the channel, to wherever they need to go... like a computer rack system uses...
