home speakers in car?

so i am looking for a cheap speaker upgrade for my cheap car....i dont plan on having the car for very long so i won't put much money into it. i was looking on parts express and there are the dayton audio aluminum speakers for like $14 each....i would like to replace all 4 speakers. my first question is that these speakers are in the "woofer" section. will i need to get some midrange speakers for up front and then these woofers for the rear, or will i be fine to have the woofers all around and still get my mid's good? what about this speaker: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=290-301

which of these speakers would be the better choice? i would like to replace all 4 speakers for under $60 shipped.....

you wont have very good highs. why not just keep the stock speakers if you are not going to have the car very long? Get 2 coaxils made for a car that cost $60 instead if you must

i get bored very easily, and i haven't done anything in the car audio stuff for about 6 months now and its killing me, and im broke......**** college.

Cheap coax's are the way to go. Will sound better than stock and won't cost a lot of $$$, especially is getting rid of the car soon.

i've been in the process of installing a home theater component system into my car, but school and holiday funding issues have put it on the back burner for now.

If you really want to be cheap, I'd buy these instead:

You will then need to add a cheap tweeter like the ND20 and build a real simple crossover. Even a 6db slope crossover at around 3.5k would be okay. They will smoke your stock setup for $25 a side including the crossover parts. If you get crafty you could improve that further by building a steeper sloped crossover but that isn't quite as easy.

IMO the setup I described will smoke any sub $100 coax as well and probably a lot of them that are more expensive. If you can up your budget at all I would do it on the tweeters so you could cross them over lower.

Scrap the idea of adding the rears and instead find a used amp for $50 and you will have a rather sweet budget system.
