ummm......what?
i recently purchased a BG neo8 for my mids and highs.

found here: http://www.partsexpress.com/imageslarge/264-712L.jpg

and hi-vi 8" woofer

found here: http://www.partsexpress.com/imageslarge/297-446L.jpg

i plan on running the 8" full range and filtering the planar starting @ 600hz

im going to glass the planars in the a pillar, and 8's in stock door spots.

all runnin off an mbquart 4x100. i am using the 4 channel for better tuning between the sets.

my question is does anyone here think this will be a good setup? should i filter the midbass? am i going to run into any problems with the planars other than imaging?

any input wil be appreciated.

maybe you haven't done much research on the planar tweeter. I wouldn't play it down to 600hz. I would start at a minimum of 1000hz, 1500hz looks ideal for both the woofer and the tweeter. You are also going to need to eq out the huge peak at 12k or make the notch filter stated in the pdf. And the woofer will definitely need at least a 12db/octave low pass at 1500k.

negative. no band pass just high and low.

as for the planar. specs said it plays down to 200hz. so why would i need such a high filter?

i think i will filter the 8

You didn't actually pick out drivers that will work very well together, nor will they work at the frequency ranges that you are claiming you want to use.

As for your initial question, it would be a terrible idea to run that 8 full range and also to cross the Neo's at 600hz.

To get that setup to work you are going to need some processing whether it be in headunit or an offboard proc, simple crossovers will not do it justice.
