Well I stopped down at the local audio store to see if they had anything new/good. I'm looking into a new amp in the next few weeks and then a 4 chan and some phoenix golds later. The subs i have now are premier 10s 350 rms a piece but i want some powerbass extremes later. I told the guy i was interested in a the Kicker ZX750.1 but he kept throwing Total Mobile Audio at me and told me they would do much better for the price. Also he said that the kicker was "dirty" and had too much distortion. His example, 800 kicker watts, you need a 1000 watt RMS sub not to blow from the distortion... Is that anywhere near right? I thought kicker was good clean power? I'm looking 250 or less right now. Thanks

If anyones got an opinion or any info on the previous post that'd be awesome. Though I'm down to a few alright amps for the price it seems. Powerbass ASA1500D i can get for $270 which is 750 watts @ 2ohms which is perfect for me and it can go down to 1 Ohm, A kicker ZX750.1 for $220 which is around 850 @ 2 Ohm but cant go down to 1 Ohm, and finally a TMA T10001 for $240 which has the same specs as the Powerbass. They all look to be good, but the kicker cant go to 1 ohm for future upgrades so, I have no idea which would be better? Thanks

im not positive but im pretty sure all kicker amps come with a birth sheet or something like that, it tells you exactly how much power that specific amp made after it was built and tested at the factory. i may be completely wrong but that is what i was told. and i really like my kicker amp

Ok thanks for the info on the sales rep, I know how they can be but just wanted to see. In reguards to my second post, what do you think would be a good option? I'm by no means putting together a "high end" system or one that needs to be the loudest, just some little above average quality. Thanks

it depends on what voice coil config. your subs are, but of the choices, if you can run @ 2 ohms, i'd say the kicker. they are underrated so it'll be 850+ watts rms @ 14.4 volts...

and thats 850 clean power, don't know much about powerbass, haven't had one myself but have heard they are overrated...

Ya I'm currently running 2 Ohms and need 700 watts, but not sure if im going DVC 4ohm subs later, thats when id run into the issue with the kicker. I know it'd do great but im also looking to future proof it to an extent. Kicker now and if i was always going 2Ohms, if i had it between the other two, which one would be better, TMA or PB? THanks

Haha thanks man, actually I was doing some browsing and came across some people talking about AQ and searched a bit and i think I found my next amp. The AQ1200D looks great for the money!
