Just a quick question, If I were to set up 2 subs in my home in 1 box and wanted to put 1k watts into each, then I should get a 2k watt amp right? But then how the hell do I connect the amp to the receiver im using??

Im not goona get car subs, build an enclosure and just put 50W into each

You don't need that much power in a house. And they have some big amps

Plate amplifier , pa amp or large mono such as emotiva. These will normally have RCA or xlr input.

It'll just be more hassle to run than a home amp would be

as stated, you need a home subwoofer amplifier, they make them in rack-mount and plate-mount. the plate-mount are cheaper but have lower power. for the same cost as a power supply capable of 25A at 12VDC you can get a 300W plate amp that directly plugs into the wall socket (120VAC) and has auto turn-on and crossovers. Parts Express and MCM Electronics are where I buy my plate amps. they push subs surprisingly well because the house has more power capability than a car.

I know little about home audio as well as these plate amps. Want to do a home audio build soon. Can you tell me which brand of these plate amps you would recommend? Not focusing on power yet,just which brand

I prefer Dayton Audio. Some have had luck with Bash and Yung.
