i just had to brag........ i just found a kenwood vr-4080 reciever in a thrift store today for 20 bucks. FYI , this was almost 1000 bucks new a few years back. In fact the model that replaced it was a kenwood soveriegn. which is there high end brand like excelon is for the car products.

130wx5 @ 0.0005% THD!!! This thing ****ing rocks!! Its even got the learning remote with RF instead of IR and a LCD Screen. Which means i can sit at the pool and control my tunes like i was standing in front of the reciever. Built in cooling fans , huge mosfets too.

awesome piece for an awesome price!!

I miss my carver A-500X and HR-895 receiver I had it hooked to a pair of vega DX-9 15"s that sh*t was loud as all get out I wish I had not sold it.

I'm a big 2 channel fan, I'm into the vintage stuff though, 70's, early 80's. I can't afford the high end new stuff!
