holy shitballs. look at this box, and whats in it

It would be SQL for sure. Freq response of sealed with volume of ported. That horn link posted above has the info when compared to similar drivers in manf. recommended box.

Half a WO is only 6" difference. there are much better designs on the site for 1 or 2 12's that take up less space.. DeathBox is the other one I've built.

yea, i dont remember what dictates it being front\rear loaded. im dislexic - so i often get things correct, but backwards than what i mean //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

but basicaly, its a rear loaded (lol) double folded horn that merges in the throat and has a single mouth.

id love to build one of these - but i got no place for one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

maybe someday.

my point exactly..... bandpass.

The real proof is in how the biotch sounds. Anyone heard it?

Here Squeak...

to find the volume, the driver needs to be modeled in winISD as a 4th order single reflex to find the sealed chamber.

It does function like a bandpass, keeps it from unloading, yes there is a sealed area and a vented area, it's just the vent is a horn.(5ft)

looks to me like the rear chamber is sealed and the front chamber is vented.....
doesnt' that equal bandpass? It looks f'n cool though.
nope not really. Bandpass is a bit different. Bandpass is just half sealed half port. The rear loaded enclosure is all port and basically the enclosure is a horn. Read teh decware site, loads of info //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I don't see anything different about it, other than it's loaded with RE.
:werd:

like i said, ive seen them, but putting RE in there with some real power.
it must be impressive to say the least.
ooooohhhh.... RE SE's...... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Home Audiophiles have been loading them with everything from custom drivers to Dub 7's....

In other words: ooooooooohhhh RE SE's.... [/sarcasm]

Now, go to Decware or DIYAudio and searh "Imperial Horn"

:boobies:

The Imperial would be great if I even had a house big enough for it. I'm thinking of a HouseWrecker, but I already run JBL L7's bi-amped. For car use, I'm hooked on the WO.

Those two sites carry a LOT of reading with them, both excellent.

happy reading,
