FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Ramsey Street in Fayetteville was closed in both directions Thursday afternoon after a multiple car accident killed one driver just before 11:30 a.m.

Officials from several agencies were on the scene, which is near the entrance of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Investigators believe that the driver of a Nissan Pathfinder hit another car head on. That vehicle, a Ford Escort, was then hit by another vehicle, a Chevrolet Corsica. The driver of the Ford, Shawn T. Chance, 25, of 1644 Kara Court, was killed.

The other two drivers, Matthew Desessa, 20, and Kimberly Watkins, 42, were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment. Ramsey Street has been re-opened.

I was thinking that this was going to be a joke accompanied by a claim of Eleventy Billion DeeBeeeeezzzzzzzz from some random subwoofer setup crushed someone or something... but I certainly wasn't prepared for this.

Tell your friend he should seek some type of counseling and quickly. This is the kind of thing that can haunt your dreams for the rest of your life and truly screw you up in the long run if it isn't proactively dealt with in a positive manner.

I would spend as much money possible to hire the best attorney he can find. Don't settle for just any douche bag attorney. I'd rather be in debt, than be in jail. From what you said it sounds like he just passed out and it was an accident, but cops and lawyers are pieces of shit, so they might try to put him away considering somebody died. I also wouldn't talk to anybody except his attorney. It's already bad enough he has to live with the guilt of killing somebody, but going to jail for something you didn't do is even worse.

They will probably try and get him with Vehicular Homicide or Involuntary Manslauder at least. Can't kill someone and not expect some kind of charges unless it was that persons fault or self defense on your part.
