Firewall means nothing trust me, once the MPAA or RIAA have your IP address, you are ****ed....it is much easier than everyone thinks. I have talked to numerous network specialists and the ease with which EVERYONE's IP addresses can be traced is scary

they track large bandwidth usage here, but a movie takes less than 10 seconds and they slap you on the wrist for sharing...not downloading

I was informed of this when I used to share my games, and they said:

"you can download with no problems but as soon as someone downloads from you, you are in trouble"

All my movies came from users within the firewall on campus here....DC++ and a gigabit connection FTMFW

Same here, stocked up before I graduated lol. Bought a 500GB drive off newegg and then shortly after got another lol. Don't have as many movies as you or songs as the other guy there but I got more than enough to keep me happy. Gotta get caught up on the music released in the past 2-3 years though lol. Its nice being able to go through your music and make a play list of about 1,000 songs that EVERY song is a good on you will always want to listen to lol.

Not sure what your listening to now or anything, but I always liked the DMX stuff and some of Eminem's older stuff. Then again I don't listen to rap all that often though. For some good rock stuff I am liking the new Disturbed, other goodies if you like this sorta stuff might be Bullet for my Valentine, Soilwork, Dragonforce, or Sonata Artica. Or maybe start bumpin some Asia, or Europe, maybe some Journey and Foreigner, you know you want to lol.

Any ADVICE on making your IP address less easy to trace?

And can someone tell me about this DC++? Does it work over the internet, or only within a LAN?
