The attacks on the US didn't start on 911, or on Bush's watch. They have been happening overseas for years. During Bush 1, Clinton, etc....just 911 made it more personal since it was in our own back yard. The economy was going south before 911...so the war was just a larger impact on that.
While I agree, we find out now there were no WMD's in Iraq, Bush say's all his intell told him there was. And when it was voted on, both parties fully agreed to go in there and get the job done,whatever the cost. Anyone ver had bad advice, intell on anything? Sure, everyone has. The biggest advantage to the war, is we did get rid of a bad persona, and his kids that would indeed follow in his footsteps. Did it help us 100% directly, no...did it help the innocent people of Iraq, you bet. But now that it's done, I agree we need to pull out.

The ironic part is this War that we are all fighting has been going on for centuries. Anybody remember the crusades? I'm not a big bible buff but I remember a story from the Old Testament where Abraham had a illegitimate child with a dark woman. Rather than kill the woman and the child god banished them from the group and then they went on to form the desert people (aka Arabs). So in 2000 years with all of our technology and education we still haven't overcome our differences.
In my opinion the sooner we event an alternative energy source to oil the sooner we can get the fug out of there and leave them alone. At that point their area is worthless and the can have a big ole pajama Kuran party by themselves.

i know recessions happen, but not for 5 years. again who has been arrested in the 911 attacks? no one. sadamm is the only one captured and had nothing to do with it. why is he in capture? what is he gonna be convicted of? if the us can find sadamm hiding in a whole in the ground, they should be able to find bin laden. didn't bush invade iraq before the UN had a chance to inspect for weapons? plus bush scared everybody into invading iraq.

see, we found saddam to cover up the fact that either a) we cant find osama, b) we dont want to find osama, c) we dont care about finding osama because we are in bed with his family, or d) all of the above.

you forgot E. bush sr. didn't finish off sadamm in the early 90's so bush jr. has to finish what papa didn't get done.

i dont think there was really a need to finish him off. i think bush jr just uses iraq's history with the U.S. as another excuse to send our young men and women there to die for a good cause.

You can't arrest dead people. Most of the conspirators (sp?) died in the 9/11 attack. Yeah sure Osama was behind it, and no we have not captured him or killed him yet, but he will die soon enough since he has kidney problems. Since he is on dialysis he defiantly will not be around much longer without a transplant.
ok since most of the people involved in the 911 attacks are dead, and bin laden is gonna die from matural causes and will never face justice then, that means we can go right ahead and attack sadamm.
